We can assure you the features of this program make it the very
best in the world. Over 30,000 expatriates rely on our insurance
facility for global property insurance and international personal
liability insurance.
Plan Design Notes on The International Personal Property Insurance
Coverage is ALL RISK, the highest quality of insurance available.
Some policies provide coverage for only a limited amount of named
perils like fire, theft, smoke etc. However, if the cause of loss
is not on this short list, you have no coverage. This is NOT the
case with IPI's international property insurance coverage. Our policy
covers ALL potential and possible causes of loss that are not specifically
excluded by the insurance policy. This means we potentially cover
for hundreds of more "perils" than policies that are not
"all risk." A peril is something that causes a loss. The
most feared and understood peril is fire but if your pet cockatoo
chews $2,000 of damage into a leather couch, this is another form
of peril, and a peril covered by our policy, the most comprehensive
international property insurance policy of it's kind.
At the time of claim, coverage is REPLACEMENT COST and not "Depreciated
Value" or "Actual Cash Value" (or ACV), a lower form
of insurance. If you lose your $2,000 plasma TV due to a small fire,
our policy would pay for the cost to replace with like kind and
quality. Be careful of cheap policies that may save you $100 a year,
but reduce your claim payment by depreciation and do not allow you
"like kind and quality."
Global Coverage and Complete Piece of Mind
As your circumstances change, our global property insurance policy
has you and your family covered. Whether you begin to travel internationally,
or your spouse and child return to the U.K. for 6 weeks, the property
insurance follows you and each one of your family members. The policy
was build by international assignees for people in your exact situation.
Coverage follows you on business trips, while on vacation, and even
for students studying back in the United States.
Political risk coverage is available for those that need it.
